Three departmental offices in Kyainseikkyi Township, Kayin State, were reported to have been attacked by drop bombs using drones on the night of August 27.

A local resident said that drop bomb attacks were carried out on the township municipal office in Bogyoke Street, Ward No.5, and the township audit office and the township agricultural development bank on Saikpyoye Road in Kyainseikkyi Township.

"At about 10:50 pm on August 27, we heard two explosions, twice at about 11:30 pm. There were four explosions in total. We learnt in the morning that departmental offices were bombed," the resident continued.

Residents learnt that the attack damaged the roofs and ceilings of the municipal office, some of the office windows of the bank office, and that the audit office was not damaged.

Although most departmental offices in Kyainseikkyi Township are closed and offices are no longer operational, health departments and hospitals are still in operation. Therefore, health personnel and patients are worried that these locations will also be targeted.

On the night of March 15 also, drop bomb attacks were made on the District Administrative Council and Forestry Department offices in Kyainseikkyi.

Similarly, on the morning of July 7, armed men mined the electrical power plant building and transformers in Kyainseikkyi, according to local reports.
