Basic education schools at the primary, middle, and high school levels for the 2026–2027 academic year officially reopened today (June 1), according to reports.

Schools across regions and states nationwide resumed classes simultaneously.

Primary school students from KG to Grade 3 will attend classes from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., while students from Grade 4 through middle and high school levels will study from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To prepare for the reopening, a school enrollment week was held from May 25 to May 31, during which students were registered for the new academic year.

During the enrollment period, students were provided with school supplies including notebooks, pencils, and pens.

Although schools officially opened on June 1, authorities said students who have not yet enrolled will still be allowed to register during the ongoing school term.
