At Botahtaung Port, strong winds caused a motorboat to capsize, resulting in three people going missing. It has been reported that the bodies of two of them have been found and recovered.
On the morning of July 23, around 7 a.m., strong winds caused a motorboat to sink at Botahtaung Port, leaving three people missing, including the boat operator. Two days later, on the evening of July 25, some of the bodies were recovered.
"We retrieved the body of the uncle who was steering the boat. It is said that the uncle who was steering the boat saved the passengers. In the end, while trying to rescue a young girl who had fallen in, the uncle was swept away by the water and lost his life," wrote Ko Putoo and Friends Association, who transported the bodies, on social media.
Although the bodies of two men out of the three missing individuals have been found, the body of the woman has not yet been recovered. The recovered bodies were taken to the mortuary of Yangon General Hospital.
