Chairman of SAC and Russian President to discuss bilateral cooperation development and sign agreements in meeting

The Chairman of the State Administration Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, are scheduled to meet today. During this meeting, they will discuss matters related to the development and enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and are expected to sign agreements, according to a press release from the Russian Presidential Office.

During the meeting, in addition to exploring mutually beneficial opportunities for the development of Russia-Myanmar cooperation, they will also discuss international issues. Following the discussions, a joint statement will be issued, and agreements between the respective government departments are planned to be signed, as announced by the Russian Presidential Office.

The SAC Chairman and the President of Russia are set to meet today at around 3 PM local time in Russia, which is approximately 7 PM Myanmar time.

Additionally, the SAC Chairman will also meet with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council and pay respects by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow today.

The high-level delegation from Myanmar, led by the Chairman of the SAC, arrived in Russia on the evening of March 3, local time.

Upon arrival in Russia, the Chairman was welcomed at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow by Mr. Maxim Reshetnikov, the Russian Minister of Economic Development, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials, accompanied by an honor guard.
