On the morning of January 8, three armed men staged a robbery at the Shwe Chitthu jewelry shop, located on the first floor of a building on 30th Street, Ward No. 7, Pabedan Township. The suspects, carrying a gun and a knife, threatened the shop’s staff and stole valuable gold, silver, and mobile phones.

According to nearby residents, the shop was occupied by a female owner, a female employee, and a male manager at the time of the incident. The thieves also confined the victims in the shop’s bathroom before making their escape.

A source close to local law enforcement confirmed the robbery and revealed that a significant quantity of gold, valued at approximately 50 million kyats, was taken. The exact amount and value of the stolen items are still being investigated. Police are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the crime.
