No new COVID-19 cases on 5 June

Yangon—Myanmar reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on 5 June, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports.

On 5 June, a total of 1,872 samples were tested—1,505 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 135 by Department of Medical Research and 232 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay). All samples tested negative for the virus.

So far, 135 out of 151 recovered patients have been discharged from the respective hospitals.

To date, there have been 236 confirmed cases and six deaths in Myanmar.
