Pyuntasar-Case-233, confirmed by the announcement of Ministry of Health and Sports, is under quarantine at Thitagu Sakkudana hospital in Pyuntasar, Nyaung Lay Bin Township, Bago Region and after he was tested positive, moved to Bago Hospital on June 3.

“The patient is in good shape and shows no sign of symptoms of COVID-19. We, MPs, township administrator and health care staff gathered here and sent the report to our superiors. Then, he was moved to Bago Kali Hospital. We later sprayed insecticide where he stayed. Next, we checked those who stayed with him in the same room more closely,” said superintendent of the hospital Dr. Thaung Khant Oo.

Case-233 is a 26 years old male from Seikpyan Gyi ward, Pyuntasar, Nyaung Lay Bin. He came back from Thailand on May 25 via the Myawaddy border and stayed 4 days under quarantine in Bayargyi in Bago. He then arrived at Nyaung Lay Bin on May 29 and on May 30, went through quarantine at Thitagu Sakkudana hospital in Nyaung Lay Bin, Bago Region.
