A ceremony to salute and lay wreaths in remembrance of fallen soldiers in the successive eras was held at Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon on December 2.

The ceremony included programs of saluting the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, singing State’s song, and saluting the fallen heroes including Bogyoke Aung San sacrificing their life for their country.

Those present on the occasion recited four resolutions in unison. They took a two-minute silence marking sorrow for the fallen heroes in the successive eras.

Those present on the occasion read the poems dedicated to the fallen heroes including Bogyoke Aung San sacrificing their life for their country and sent balloons to the sky wishing them to be in a noble place.

Then, they released the doves used as a symbol of peace into the sky aiming at achieving peace across the Union and laid wreaths at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum.

The event was organized by members of former generals, Union Solidarity and Development Party and the National Progressive Party.
