Vice President Henry Van Thio calls for correct and high quality statistics

Vice President Henry Van Thio called for efforts to ensure correct and quality data for the image of Myanmar during a meeting of the Central Committee for Accurate and High Quality Statistics held in Nay Pyi Taw on January 24, according to a press released by the President Office.

Henry Van Thio, also chairman of the committee, said accurate and quality statistics were image of the country, stressing the need to ensure correct and quality data for the good image of the country. He then called for efforts to successfully establish a data base centre as projects have to be drawn with data and statistics in building a nation.

The Vice President said statistics needed to be reviewed in implementing those projects, adding that cooperation of all is necessary for the country to get correct and reliable data.

He said ensuring correct and high quality statistics was long-term work that could not be done in a short time.
