Unregistered tricycles and electric bike illegally imported to Myanmar will be registered at One Stop Service project

Tricycles and electric bike illegally imported to Myanmar and unregistered will be registered with the “One Stop Service” (OSS) project and tax will be collected according to Road Transport Administration Department.

In 2010, 2012 and 2014, unregistered tricycles were registered with OSS project. 

The project period this time will be from November 1, 2018 to November 23, 2018 at 49 townships where Road Transport Administration Department offices are opened. On the weekend day of Saturdays, mobile teams will carry out registering at 39 main townships.

Tax collected for registering will be made known to public where registration takes place.

According to the project, model year of 2008 above will be registered. Old and unsuitable for roads safety tricycles, locally made tricycle, 4 wheeled cycle used in jungle and beaches, vehicles with not successive registered period  will not be accepted for registering.

In the future, unregistered tricycles and electric bike won’t be registered with OSS system but they will be kept as State owned in accordance with law according to the statement made by Road Transport Administration Department.
