Two sisters selling fruit near Hledan Market were shot, killing one and injuring another and one elderly woman on the sidewalk at 8:30 am on July 4, according to locals.

Unknown gunmen fired at two sisters who were preparing to sell fruit at the corner of Hledan 2 Road, Ward 3 in Kamaryut Township.

A 60-year-old woman was also hit by a bullet while walking on the street, residents said.

"At around 8:30 am, I heard gunshots and came out to see what happen. I heard two sisters from a fruit shop at the corner of Hledan 2 Road were shot. One was shot in the forehead and killed. The other was shot in the cheek. A passerby was also shot," said a resident.

According to the social media, both of them were killed in the shooting but Eleven Media Group has not yet been able to confirm the deaths.
