UEC to publish initial voter lists for 2025 general election on September 30
Published 30 September 2025

The Union Election Commission (UEC) announced that the initial voter lists for the upcoming general election, scheduled to begin on December 28, 2025, will be posted for the first time on September 30, 2025.

According to the UEC, the voter lists will be displayed from September 30 to October 13, 2025 (a total of 14 days) at ward/village tract sub-commission offices and in villages within the respective tracts.

If, for any reason, the lists cannot be displayed in certain wards or village tracts, they will be available for public viewing at the relevant township sub-commission offices. The UEC emphasized that only by checking the posted voter lists can voters help ensure the accuracy and completeness of the lists.

Voters are encouraged to submit Form (3) to request inclusion if their names are missing, submit Form (4) to object if ineligible persons are listed and submit Form (4-C) to correct errors in personal information. These forms can be obtained free of charge from ward/village tract sub-commission offices.

After the process of additions, removals, and corrections, the final voter lists for the general election will be posted again in November 2025. At that stage, voters will also have the chance to submit further requests, objections, or corrections if necessary.

The UEC appealed to the public to cooperate in ensuring accurate voter lists by urging at least one member from every household to check the lists during the display period.
