The ceremony took place at several prominent locations in Taunggyi, including  monasteries and pagodas. Famous pagodas like Min Kyaung, Aye Zedi in Phaya Phyu Quarter, and at Mingalar Rama Monastery also hosted the light offering ceremonies.

At the Mingalar Rama Monastery, two towering incense poles, each over 10 feet tall, were placed in front of the Buddha statue as part of the ceremony. This light offering ritual, which has been practiced for many years, maintained its traditional form, with local people often taking part in carrying incense poles for the light offerings.

Additionally, light offerings were made at prominent sites in Shwe Mudhaw pagoda in Taunggyi and Laka Chanthar Suhtarmuni Zedi, with a significant number of devotees participating in the ceremonies.

The event highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Taunggyi and the continued adherence to centuries-old religious practices.
