TNLA’s homemade rocket attack kills two children and injures one child in Northern Shan State

Two children were killed and another one was injured due to the homemade rocket attack being carried out by Ta’aung National Liberation Army (TNLA) in Namhkam town in Northern Shan State, according to the Information Team of State Administration Council (SAC).

The TNLA members attacked the town with improvised rockets from some three km south of the town, SAC reported.

The attack resulted in the tragic deaths of two innocent children, aged 12 and nine, and the serious injury of a four-year-old child due to an explosion in the Thayagon ward. The injured child was reportedly taken to Namhkam People’s Hospital for medical treatment, and the security forces are continuing to carry out security tasks in the area, according to the information team.

Three Brotherhood Alliance Army which comprises Arakan Army (AA), Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) launched "Operation 1027" in northern Shan State on October 27.

Currently, fighting between Tatmadaw and three brotherhood-alliance army is taking place in Chinshwehaw, Laukkai, Lashio, Kunlong and Hsenwi, Phoungsai, Kyugot, Mongkoe and Muse townships in northern Shan State.
