Three killed by shell explosion in Kutkai Township

Local residents said that three people were killed when a shell fell and exploded on Union Road in Ward No.2 of Nantfakka Village in Kutkai Township, northern Shan State, on October 30. 

On the evening of October 30, two men and a woman who went shopping were killed by a shell explosion on Union Road.

The shell exploded when they walked down Union Road to shop. One man died instantly there, and the other two died 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital, according to local sources.

Since October 27 in northern Shan State, clashes between the Myanmar military and the three northern allies have killed up to five people, including children, and at least five have been injured in the Nantfakar region, Ta'ang Women's Organization has reported.
