There are a total of 144 COVID-19 positive cases including an 87 year old woman from Muse

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports on April 24 11:00 pm, five more COVID-19 positive cases were found including an 87 year old woman from Muse, northern Shan State.

Among the 350 lab samples tested by Yangon National Health Laboratory (NHL) and Department of Medical Research (DMR) on April 24, there were 5 new cases and the rest were tested negative.

The 5 new cases are: three from Yangon Region, one from Moehnyin, Kachin State and one from Muse, northern Shan State. Three cases from Yangon Region had contact history with the positive case but the rest two had no contact history. 

At present, there are a total of 144 COVID-19 positive cases in Myanmar while 9 were discharged from hospital and 5 dead. 

COVID-19 positive patients were given treatment at respective hospitals.  Two from Waibargi hospital and one from South Okkalapa hospital are being treated with intensive care.
