The temperature in five regions and states including Yangon Region is hotter than normal, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.

DMH issued a daily weather report for April 10 saying that rain or thundershowers would be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region,  Kachin and  Chin States,  scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan  and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty was (80%). Weather would be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

For day temperature, the temperature in Yangon Region, Ayeyawady Region, Kayah State and Mon State was more than 2 degrees centigrade than normal temperature in April. Meanwhile, the temperature in upper Sagaing Region was 2 degrees centigrade lower than normal; and that in lower Sagaing Region and Chin State 3 to 4 degrees centigrade lower than normal.

Significant temperatures were 42 degrees centigrade in Bawlakhe, and 41 degrees centigrade in Chauk. Recorded rainfalls were 0.94 inch in Pinlebu, 0.94 inch in Mogaung, 0.71 inch in Minkin, 0.67 inch in Yankalaung, 0.47 inch in Tamu and 0.43 inch in Matupi.
