A total of 51 Technical High Schools in teaching technical, agricultural and livestock breeding being opened in 50 districts are in need of technical support, says Education Minister Dr Nyunt Pe at 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Ceremony held at the City Hall in Guiyang, Guizhou Province of the People’s Republic of China on August 29.
He also said that the opportunity for educational cooperation between the two countries is enormous. The minister also revealed his ministry’s interest in arranging study tours for Myanmar teachers to China and ASEAN countries, involving cohort studies between universities within the region, conducting exchange programmes for teachers and students, symposiums, workshops and conventions. Myanmar has a great interest in receiving technological aid from China for its technical high schools — teaching technical, agriculture and livestock breeding — planned to open in 75 districts across the country.
In his speech, the minister also noted the fact that educational cooperation between China and Myanmar will contribute not only to scholarship winners and Myanmar’s education sector but also to Myanmar society.
Chinese Education Minister Huai Jinpeng also explained about the Chinese education data and China-ASEAN Education Cooperation.
Later, the ceremony to introduce China-ASEAN Digital Education Alliance was held in conjunction with the opening ceremony of the Alliance for Economics and Management Education-AEME.
In the afternoon, Myanmar delegation led by the Education Minister attended the opening ceremony of 2023 China-ASEAN Language and Culture Forum and viewed around the booths displayed at the ceremony and the booths of Yangon University of Foreign Languages.
