YANGON----- Hla Hla Than, Senior Assistant Teacher (SAT) was shot dead in the Taxi in North Oakkalapa Township, Yangon Region, this morning, according to the neighbouring residents.

When she went to No.2 Basic Education High School situated in East Dagon Township by taxi, she was shot between Nweni Bus stop and north oakkalapa roundabout, Gargyi Market on Thudhama road in north oakkalapa Township.

“A victim arrived at the hospital’s emergency ward with gun shots by taxi around 8am. Later, she died from gun shots. The police investigated what happened to the taxi driver. And then, the taxi left from the hospital,” said a person who lived in the compound of North Oakkalapa Hospital.

A gunman in civilian cloth closely shot at the SAT who rode on the taxi. At least two gunshots were found on the taxi.

The news already spread on the Social Media that SAT Hla Hla Than got four gunshots on her abdomen.
