Attacks were carried out on the places where the KIA produces and stores weapons, ammunitions and mines as KIA's joint team attacked Kantawyan security post, which was providing security for the Myitkyina-Bhamo road to control the communication route, announced the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC).

On the morning of October 31, the KIA and joint forces attacked the security team around Kantawyan, which was conducting security on the Myitkyina-Bhamo road, which is used by the public.

The Tatmadaw communicated through the relevant Peace-Talk Creation Group (PCG) as the KIA and allied forces attacked the Lelong security post on October 6, and informed them twice that it is an important communication route used by the public and that there will be no violence and that if it happens again, there will be lack of tolerance and appropriate responses will be made, it said.

The Tatmadaw has repeatedly offered for peace in anticipation of eternal peace and has been patient as long as possible, but the KIA and its joint forces took the opportunity to coincide with the military activities of the Shan State (Northern) regional groups and attacked the Kantawyan security post on the morning of October 31. Some officers and soldiers from the Tatmadaw were killed and injured, it said.

Retaliatory attacks were carried out on the location where the KIA is producing and storing weapons, ammunitions and mines. As this place is close to the border, the neighboring country was informed in advance of the matter to be carried out, as well as a limited response attack was carried out, it said.

It has announced that if there are any further acts of terrorism that disturb the public, necessary responses will be made.
