Sedona Hotel announces to resume its operation from December 1

The Sedona Hotel will reopen on December 1 following a change in ownership, the hotel announced.

The Sedona Hotel announced that it will reopen on December 1 and can be contacted for booking matters. The Sedona Hotel has been closed since 2021, and since then, there were no room rentals.

Keppel Corporation announced on October 16 that the Sedona Hotel in Yangon has been sold for US$57.4 million. Keppel Corporation has completed the sale of the Sedona Hotel, valued at S$75.6 million, to Singaporean conglomerate Spring Blossom Ventures, according to a statement. Spring Blossom Ventures is a multi-sector investment and business group mainly engaged in tourism services, and intends to continue operating the hotel business locally.

Sedona Hotel was first opened in 1996 and is a five-star hotel, and it is also the earliest international hotel opened in Myanmar. In 2015, the new building was opened to increase the number of rooms to nearly 800. Keppel Corporation, a large enterprise backed by the Singapore government, has been working to sell the Sedona Hotel since the beginning of this year.

Sedona Hotel in Yangon was opened in 1996 with 366 rooms. In 2015, a hotel with a height of 29 floors, which cost about US$80 million, was expanded and built again.
