(The Star/ANN) - The Samsung Galaxy A70 is now available in Malaysia for RM1,999.

When Samsung first unveiled the device at the Galaxy A event in Bangkok last month, website Gadget Match spotted a series of Blackpink-themed accessories for the phone. The popular South Korean girl group is currently the brand ambassador for the Samsung Galaxy A series.

The accessories include a specially-designed phone case, a charging stand with the Blackpink logo and postcards featuring images of the group. The website states that the A70 Blackpink-themed accessories will be available in May for users in selected countries including Malaysia.

However, Malaysian fans may have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the products. A check with Samsung Malaysia revealed that there is currently no date set for the local release of the specially designed accessories.

The A70 is made for social media-savvy users who love sharing their every day experiences online.

“In this connected era, we understand there is a demand for innovation in a world driven by visual communications. With the Galaxy A70, consumers can connect with their family, friends and even favourite celebrities with just a swipe and post on social platforms,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Yoonsoo Kim in a statement.

At the moment, the A70 has the biggest screen in the Galaxy A series with a 6.7in Super Amoled Infinity U display. It has a triple camera setup in the rear with a 32-megapixel super high-resolution lens main shooter, an 8-megapixel sensor for ultra wide shots, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

For more aesthetically-pleasing images, users can use the Flaw Detection feature that reportedly can identify glitches automatically before a shot is taken. They can also use the Scene Optimiser feature to supposedly enhance shots taken in up to 20 scene settings. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel camera on the front.

The device has 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory which can be expanded to up to 512GB with a microSD card. It also comes with a huge 4,500mAh battery and supports 25W Super-Fast Charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 is available in Blue, Black and White at Samsung Malaysia official website as well as all Samsung Experience stores and authorised dealers nationwide.
