SAC chairman calls for national reconciliation and peace on Kayah State Day

On January 15, 2024, the 72nd Anniversary of Kayah State Day, Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message to the ceremony, urging all ethnic people to work together for the country’s stability and prosperity.

He said that the main solution to the current difficulties and violence in Myanmar is national reconciliation, solidarity and peace. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure food security, improve agriculture and livestock sector, and promote other economic sectors.

He praised the Kayah State for its natural beauty, traditional culture, and honest and friendly people. He reminded the people of Myanmar’s long history of independence and dignity, and warned against the dangers of armed conflicts and terrorist attacks in some regions, especially in Kayah State.

He appealed to the people to consider the situation carefully and make all-round efforts to bring about good things for the country and the ethnic people.
