The Road Transport Administration Department (RDAT) has announced that the renewal date for driving licenses will be changed from November 8 at all offices under the Yangon Region Office of the Director General.

An online booking system for driving license renewal will be introduced from November 8 to prevent long queue, reduce traffic congestion and prevent COVID-19 infections in the office premises.

Therefore, those who want to renew their driving license can do so from November 5 at www.rtad.gov.mm website at least one day and no more than 30 days in advance. The online booking system will only be available for ‘Ka’, ‘Ka-1’, ‘Kha’, ‘Ga Gyi’ and 'Nga' driving licenses renewal. The renewal procedures of ‘Ga Nge’, ‘Sa Lone”, ‘Hta Wun Bare’, ‘Tha’  and ‘Ha’ driving licenses, driving licenses from other regions and states and lost driving licenses will be the same as before.

Therefore, up to 970 licenses will be accepted four times a day on business days from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in each district office in Yangon (East, West, North and South).
