The representatives of NCA-S EAO were urged to eliminate the bottlenecks in the peace process and work together in pushing the peace process to move on, said Colonel Sai Ngin of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS).

The second meeting of NCA-S EAO’s Framework Agreement on NCA Implementation Negotiation Team is being held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from November 16 to 18.

The peace process has been delayed for over one year. This meeting is to push it to move on, said Colonel Sai Ngin.

The three-day-long meeting will focus on peace process review, formation of NCA-S EAO, work guidance and other important matters.

We need to review current political situations and politic processes positively and objectively to help lay down future tasks, said Colonel Sai Ngin.

Now is a sensitive moment for peace, politics, military and economy. Mindfulness, calmness, patience and careful efforts are needed in dealing with the situations, said Colonel Sai Ngin.

All of us are required to pay attention to common tasks and well-built friendship among 10 NCA signatories. These are the duty of all signatories alongside the leadership of the PPST, said Colonel Sai Ngin.
