Myanmar reports 6093 new COVID-19 cases with 247 deaths on July 21

Myanmar saw 6,093  new Covid-19 cases in a single day after a total samples of 16,590  had been tested from July 20 at 8:00 pm to July 21 at 8:00 pm, with247 more deaths, the Ministry of Health and Sports(MOHS) reported at 8pm news hours of July 21.  



Moreover, 247 deaths were reported on that day bringing the death toll to 5,814 since the outbreak. A total of 3,018,423 Covid-19 samples were tested and 246,663 cases reported till July 21.



On the same day, 3,608 patients were discharged after their recoveries, bringing the total number patients discharged to 170,779 according to MOHS.



On July 21, the labs run by the MOHS  reported of 465 confirmed cases; the hospitals in various regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw had 65 confirmed cases, No (1) Defense Services Hospital in Yangon 226 cases; No (2) Defence Services Hospital Nay Pyi Taw (1000 Bed hospital) 287 confirmed cases; No (9) Defence Services Hospital in Lashio 101 cases; private hospitals and labs 121 cases; hospitals in various regions and states when tested with COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic 828 cases; and public health departments in Nay Pyi taw Council, States and Region 4000 confirmed cases.
