A ceremony to introduce its beauty pageant contestants was held at the Karaweik Hall in Yangon.

Beauty queens from 80 countries were introduced to the media at the event. Miss Grand International 2018 will be held from October 5th to 25th. Beauty pageant contestants from 80 countries will be visiting places of interest in Yangon such as Shwedagaon, Karaweik Palace, Bogyoke Aung San market, etc.

On October 12th, they will move onto Bagan and compete in national costume competition. Later, they will visit Bagan’s famous pagodas such as Shwesigon and Arnanda. On October 16th, they will travel to Kawthaung where they will be staying at the Grand Andaman Hotel. Swimsuit competition and preliminary interviews will also be held there.

On October 20th, they will arrive in Yangon and prepare for the final show. The final show of Miss Grand International 2018 will be held at The One Entertainment Park in Yangon on October 25th.

“Among the many challenges, my dream of holding Miss Grand International 2018 in Myanmar has now come into reality. Although it was very tiring in order to hold this event in Myanmar, I’m very happy at the same time. By getting a chance to host  Miss Grand International in Myanmar, not only beauty contestants but also entire people from around the world may know scenic beauty, breathtaking views and hospitality of Myanmar people,” said Soe Yu Wai, from organizer from Miss Grand International-Myanmar Organization.

Miss Su Myat Phoo will be representing Myanmar in the global event.
