The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, on a goodwill visit in Moscow, the Russian Federation, at the invitation of Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shouigu and Russia-Myanmar Military Technological Cooperation Committee, visited OJSC Muromteplovoz Factory in Murom on April 25, announced the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services on April 26.

The Senior General and party left Heliport Moscow in Moscow by helicopter and arrived at Murom where there were welcomed by the factory director general and officials. Next, the Senior General and party viewed skill demonstration and firing of the armoured vehicles manufactured by OJSC Muromteplovoz Factory, it said.

They then studied the production of armoured vehicles and armoured fire engines in the factory and were conducted round by the director general and officials of the factory, it said.

The Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General travelled by a special express train from Moscow to Saint Petersburg. They were seen off by Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation Ko Ko Shein and officials. The Senior General and party arrived at Saint Petersburg at night and they were welcomed by officials from the Navy of the Russian Federation, the announcement said.

The Senior General, accompanied by Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Lt-Gen Min Naing and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to the Russian Federation Commodore Kyaw Soe Moe, arrived at MIG-29 Service Support Center in Moscow in the afternoon of 24 April, and they were welcomed by the director general and officials, it said.

At the meeting hall of the center, the director general reported on work procedures to the Senior General and party. After asking questions and holding discussions, the Senior General viewed round the center.

The Senior General attended the dinner hosted by Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shouigu in honour of delegates from the countries to the 8th Moscow Conference on International Security, the announcement said.
