A man drowned while swimming in the water at the Bayargone Reservoir, Nyo Mie village tract, Taunggyi Township, Shan State, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department (MFSD).

The fire services department received a report that a man had drowned while swimming in the water at the Bayargone Reservoir, Nyo Mie village tract, Taunggyi Township, Shan State at about 1:30 pm on October 9.

Upon receiving this information, search and rescue operations were carried out by the fire fighters from Taunggyi Township fire station and the auxiliary fire fighters. The search continued on October 10, when the body was found at around 3:00 pm, and the body was sent to Sao San Tun Hospital in Taunggyi by the Life Goal Funeral Society vehicle.
