Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) Myanmar issued a statement that they have seized more than Ks.1 billion worth of heroin covered with cow dung on a 12-wheeled vehicle.
According to a tip-off, members of prevention of drugs police force searched NISSAN Disel 12 - wheeled vehicle driven by Sai Tun Aung between 56 St, 132 St and 133 St in Pyi Gyi Tagun Township, Mandalay and confiscated 41.8 Kilo of heroin worth of more than Ks.1 billion. According to the interrogations, the heroin was transferred from northern Shan State to Mandalay Region.
The township police filed a case against the driver Sai Tun Aung and further investigation was underway as per the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law according to CCDAC Myanmar statement.
