China [China Daily] -Guangdong resident Ms Liu on Saturday had the opportunity to spend one million yuan ($148,310) in one minute on Taobao, China's leading online shopping platform.

It was part of a promotion run by Taobao to mark Spring Festival, with the company saying it would pay for 10,000 users' online shopping carts from Feb 1-4, and select one lucky winner each day to spend one million yuan, on them, in a minute.
