Heavy rain may occur in four regions and two states: DMH

Heavy rain can occur in four regions including Yangon and two states starting from October 15 to 20, according to the forecast of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) released on September 28.

During October, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago (east), Yangon, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kayin and Mon states from 15 to 20 days. Likewise, Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, western Bago regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah states can face more rain from 9 to 14 days. 

Moreover, increase rain in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyawady regions and Kayah, Kayin and Mon states as well as widespread in the remaining regions and states with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Sagaing, Taninthayi regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine states.

Similarly, lower pressure may occur three times in Bay of Bengal in coming October. One out of three times may change into the depression.

The south-west monsoon may leave from deltaic region from October 3 to 8 and it will completely withdraw from entire Myanmar from October 9 to 14.

Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
