Gold shops will now only be able to trade gold with vouchers issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, according to people making gold business.
Instead of the previously used vouchers with the names of the gold shops, only the vouchers issued by the ministry will be used for trading.
"Instead of the vouchers with the shop name, we will only be able to use the vouchers issued by the ministry. We will only be able to sell gold accessories and pieces, and we will only use this voucher," said a gold shop owner.
Gold traders will have to apply for a mineral (gold) trading service license, and when the license is issued, the voucher issued by the ministry will be sold together with it.
The voucher must include the name of the gold shop, the name of the gold seller or buyer, NRCs, address and phone number, etc.
In addition, the type of gold, price, type of item, charges, fees, discounts, taxes, etc. must also be filled in.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation has announced that gold must be sold at a daily reference price and that anyone who does not comply with the rules will be subject to action.
