Two fuel tankers have already docked at Thilawa Port, and another 12 vessels carrying fuel are expected to arrive to help ensure sufficient fuel supply, according to the Ministry of Energy.

The ministry said it is closely monitoring the distribution of imported fuel to make sure it reaches consumers. Authorities are also implementing measures to prevent panic buying and stockpiling of fuel within the country while encouraging the public to use fuel sparingly.

To maintain adequate fuel supply, fuel imports are continuing. As of March 8, the current status of fuel shipments includes two vessels already docked at Thilawa Port, four vessels en route, three vessels currently loading fuel, and five vessels waiting to load fuel, the ministry said.
