Myanmar has resumed the production of disposable syringes at the Inyaung Pharmaceutical Factory in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region, with an annual production target of 100 million units to help meet domestic demand.

The reopening ceremony was held at the factory on July 24 and was attended by Deputy Minister for Industry and MSME Development U Thwin Aung, the Mandalay Region Minister for Electric Power, Industry and Transport, the Managing Director of Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industries, and the Chairman of Valves Private Limited.

Following the ceremony, officials toured the production lines, quality control laboratories, and packaging facilities to inspect the manufacturing process.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister U Thwin Aung said the Inyaung Pharmaceutical Factory currently manufactures 44 types of pharmaceutical products, including intravenous fluids, injectable medicines, powders, and ointments.

He added that the factory has now resumed production of four types of disposable syringes—3 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml, and 20 ml—with an annual output of 100 million units, which is expected to help meet the country’s domestic healthcare needs.
