Fuel bowser crashes into vehicles carrying pilgrims on Yangon-Mawlamyaing road

A fuel bowser crashed into two vehicles carrying pilgrims parked beside the road on Yangon-Mawlamyaing road in Waw Township in early morning of February 18 killing four and injuring ten, sources said.

The bowser went out of control and crashed into a pickup truck as well as a taxi parked beside the road.

Assistant Head Zeya Phyo from Waw Township fire services department said, “The fuel bowser had a little damage but the pickup truck was parked beside the road for the night was not. Three pilgrims from the pickup truck died on the spot and the other one died at the hospital.”

The injured were sent to Waw hospital.

Sub-inspector Zaw Myo Win lodged a complaint against fuel bowser driver Myat Thu Aung under Section 304 (a)/ 338 /337 of the Penal Code at Waw Township police station.
