Brazil and Egypt Ambassador designates present credentials to SAC Chair SG Min Aung Hlaing

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the Credentials of Ambassador-Designates of Brazil and Egypt to Myanmar on separate occasions on January 18.

Mr Gustavo Rocha de Menezes of Ambassador-Designate of Brazil to Myanmar presented credentials to Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing at the Credentials Hall of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.

They also cordially discussed diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Brazil, cooperation and friendly relations measures, boosting bilateral trade, and cooperation in agriculture and livestock sector. Both sides also focused on cooperation in enhancement of sports sector, political progress in Myanmar, and implementation of the five-point roadmap by the State Administration Council for ensuring peace and stability of the State and development and preparations being made to hold free and fair election.

Similarly, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the credentials of Ambassador-Designate of Arab Republic of Egypt to Myanmar Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw on January 18.

They discussed measures to enhance Myanmar-Egypt diplomatic relations, friendly relations and bilateral cooperation, to cooperate in development of agriculture sector, cooperation in manufacturing sector, plans to cooperate in development of education sector, bilateral friendly relations between peoples of both countries, and political progress in Myanmar. The Senior General explained that the government of the State Administration Council has adopted the five-point roadmap for forging peace and stability of the nation and development undertakings, and preparations for successfully holding a free and fair election.

Also present on the occasion were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Myo Htut and Director General U Wunna Han of the Protocol Department.
