Arrests have been made to those who wrote and shared false news on the social media that people have been detained to do forced labour in Mandalay according to sources.

The cause of the arrest is that it created chaos among public and till now, two people were arrested according to those close to security forces.

Authorities had lifted the curfew in seven townships in Mandalay Region as of October 27.

Due to the current situations in northern Shan State, rumors have spread in Mandalay that curfew has imposed in Mandalay and people have been detained to do forced labour. It caused panic among the public and as a result, there were very few people on the streets around 8:00 pm.  Authority has announced through loud speakers that curfew had lifted and daily lives can be resuming as usual.
