ASEAN Special Envoy has not arrived in Myanmar, meetings have been rescheduled: SAC Spokesperson

ASEAN Special Envoy Erywan Yusof has not arrived in Myanmar, but planned meetings have been rescheduled, says the spokesperson for the State Administrative Council (SAC) Maj-General Zaw Min Tun.

“The Special Envoy has not arrived in Myanmar today. The meetings will go according as planned, but the dates and times will  be rescheduled,” says SAC Spokesperson Maj-General Zaw Min Tun.

The meeting of the Special Envoy with 8 political parties, which was originally planned for October 12th, has been rescheduled for another day.

It is still unknown whether Special Envoy Erywan Yusof will be allowed to meet with detained State Counselor Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
