A staff from Electricity Department electrocuted  while repairing cable lines on lamp-post in Thaketa Township in the evening of March 30.

According to the news of a man died of electrocution on a lamp-post at the corner of Shwe Pyi Thar Road and Waizanyantar Road in Ward-6, Thaketa Township around 6:00 pm, officials and philanthropic associations went there.

The man was a staff from the Electricity Department and while repairing cable lines, he died of electrocution on a lamp-post. He was repairing the cable lines when the electricity wasn’t cut off and died of wire shock. He was in his thirties, according to members of 67 Youth Philanthropic Association who were there when the incident took place.

The body was sent to Thingangyun Hospital by Aung Naing Thu philanthropic association’s vehicle. Further investigation has been made concerning the case.
