A gunman robbed a branch of CB bank in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region on August 7, sources said.

The robber wore a white raincoat, mask and black gloves and entered into the bank to rob Ks12 million. He took money and run away on a motorcycle.

“The man is waiting near the bank on a motorcycle and he pointed with a gun to the bank staffs to rob the money. The police haven’t caught him yet,” said Kyaw Thura from Pantanaw.

The police are searching him using CCTV footages from the bank.

Ye Htet Aung, junior assistant of the bank, lodged a complaint against the bank robber under Section 392 of the Penal Code at Pantanaw Township police station.
