An eight month old baby girl undergoing medical treatment at the intensive care unit at the Pakkoku Hospital died on the evening of October 8 according to sources.

The patient was from Kin village in Myaing Township and she received medical treatment at the hospital since October 7.

“The  girl was admitted to hospital on October 7. When taking nasal swab, it was found that she was infected with COVID-19. It is very important to get medical treatment when one is sick,” said a health care worker.

On the morning of October 8, another patient also died of COVID-19 at the Pakkoku Hospital according to hospital record.

During October, there are 21 people who got COVID-19 in Pakkoku Township.  In September, there were ten COVID-19 positive patients in Pakkoku Township according to records.
