According to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control-CCDAC Myanmar statement, 44 Kilograms of heroin worth Ks.1.1 were seized in Pyi Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region on September 22.

A combined team comprising of Anti-Drug police force, according to tipped off, searched a six-wheeled Canter vehicle driven by Tun Naing Oo aka Tung Naing together with Hla Myint near Aung Chan Thar village on Pyin Oo Lwin- Mandalay Road at 1:00 pm on September 22.

They found 44 kilograms of heroin worth Ks.1.1 covered with pine-apples at the vehicle. Upon further interrogation, they also arrested Ma Khin Aye Wine aka Khine Wine who accompanied in delivering heroin at Aung Chan Thar village. It was found that the heroin will be carried from Shan State (North) to Mandalay Region.

Action has been taken to them according to the existing law, according to CCDAC Myanmar statement.
