100,000 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines donated by Thailand for Children arrive in Yangon

Altogether 100,000 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and syringes donated by Thailand for Children arrive at the Yangon International Airport on October 21.

These vaccines and syringes were donated by Thailand via Myanmar Red Cross Society for control and treatment measures for COVID-19 in Myanmar.

Officials from Ministry of Health, Yangon Region Department of Health and officials from Myanmar Red Cross Society and representatives from Thailand Embassy in Myanmar accepted the vaccines.

About 94.35 percent of basic education students and 7.89 percent of out-of-school children were fully vaccinated with the cooperation between Ministry of Health and respective departments.

The vaccines donated by Thailand will be vaccinated to basic education children age between 5 to 11 who still have to be vaccinated and out-of-school children.
