The Mahar Bandula Park Road, adjacent to Mahar Bandula Park in Kyauktada Township, Yangon, which had been closed for over four years, was reopened on August 4, according to sources.
"They reopened it around 11 a.m. yesterday. Today, they’re clearing out the plants along the road," said a local resident.
Currently, vehicles are also allowed to park on the reopened Mahar Bandula Park Road.
Previously, this road was bustling with vendors and shoppers on both sides but had been closed since the time of political changes in Myanmar
Additionally, the road in front of Mahar Bandula Park near City Hall, where cars used to park, had also been shut down earlier and was recently reopened, sources confirmed..
