The mother of a missing young woman, Daw San San Aye, has stated that false reports claiming her daughter has been found are circulating, and she clarifies that the search for her daughter has not yet yielded any results.
“It’s completely untrue that my daughter was found in Muse. A person named U Sai Naung is spreading false information online to disrupt the search efforts. My daughter, Su Yadana Aung, has not been found yet,” Daw San San Aye wrote on social media.
The missing young woman, Su Yadana Aung, originally from Kyaukphyu, was studying Grade 12 at Moe Thauk Pan Boarding School in Hlaing Township, Yangon Region. She went missing on April 24 at 7:30 AM after saying she was going to buy snacks, and has not been found despite searches spanning over two months.
“In this situation where there’s no trace of her, I feel like my heart is being torn out alive as a mother. Where has my daughter gone? As long as I live, I will keep searching for my precious little girl, Yadana Aung. She is an irreplaceable treasure. Every Mother’s Day, she would pay respects to me, but now where has my little girl gone? Has my dear daughter sentenced me to a punishment worse than death?” Daw San San Aye wrote on her social media page.
Regarding information about her missing daughter, the mother announced a few days ago that she would offer a reward of 20 million kyats to anyone who can provide credible and reliable information leading to her recovery.
