Maxride has officially launched its mobile application to support Mini Oway users living outside the Yangon municipal area. The app is now available for residents in townships such as Thanlyin, Kyauktan, Dala, Khayan, Thonekhwa, Seikgyi Kanaungto, Kawhmu, Twantay, Kungyangon, Htantabin, Hmawbi, Hlegu, and Taikkyi.

Designed to function similarly to Grab, Maxride allows users to book rides easily via the app. However, while Grab mainly operates standard taxis in Yangon, Maxride offers mainly for three-wheeled vehicles , with a special focus on promoting the use of three-wheelers for convenience and public safety.

“Our aim is to increase the number of three-wheeled vehicle users while ensuring safe and reliable transport for the public,” said Ko Naing Oo Wai, National Supply Manager of Maxride Myanmar.

To ensure service quality and customer satisfaction, Maxride has established call centers in both Yangon and Mandalay to receive complaints and feedback from users across Myanmar.

Currently, 98 Mini Oway vehicles are operating in Thanlyin township alone. Following its formal launch in Myanmar, the app—originally developed in Indonesia—will expand to other regions including Pathein, Mandalay, Bago, and Nay Pyi Taw. Further rollout is planned for Mawlamyine and Magway.
