In southern Thailand, 21 Myanmar nationals were reportedly arrested for gambling.
According to reports, on March 23, authorities raided and arrested individuals engaged in illegal gambling in Village-tract No. 1, Khirath Nakhon Township, Surat Thani Province, southern Thailand. During the operation, 21 Myanmar nationals and 2 Thai nationals were arrested.
When the police and authorities arrived, some of the gamblers fled the scene. At the time of the raid, authorities seized 35 decks of unused playing cards as evidence and 28,550 baht in cash from the 21 Myanmar nationals and 2 Thai nationals.
The 21 Myanmar nationals and 2 Thai nationals will be dealt with according to the law by the Khirath Nakhon Police Station.
