The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, emphasized the importance of maintaining security in military-controlled regions to prevent violence and oppression against civilians. This was stated during meetings with military personnel and families in Meiktila and Mandalay on January 10.

The Senior General noted that ongoing conflicts have caused loss of life, destruction of infrastructure, and economic hardships for the nation and its people. He called for collaboration among the public, the government, and the military to address acts of terrorism and promote unity.

He urged military personnel to fulfill their duties responsibly, maintain discipline, and foster harmony between the military and civilians. He also reiterated the military’s commitment to national unity, the preservation of sovereignty, and the prevention of further conflicts.

Additionally, the Senior General and his delegation inspected the reconstruction of the Sishay Bridge near Mandalay Palace, advising that the project maintain its original design and align with urban beautification efforts.
