Ms. Gao Ping, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Mandalay, paid a courtesy call and presented her Exequatur to U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs (MOFA), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed the further enhancement of the existing "Pauk-Phaw" relations and the acceleration of Myanmar-China bilateral ties, according to the MOFA's announcement.

China has recently changed the appointments of female diplomats in Myanmar, with a female diplomat currently serving as the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar.
